Meet the presenter:


Sarah Simmons, DrPHSr. Director of Science

Xenex Disinfection Services


Originally from Boyd, Texas, Dr. Simmons attended Texas A&M University and then University of Texas at Houston School of Public Health where she graduated with a Doctor of Public health degree (DrPH).

Sarah’s career includes 5 years at Baptist Health System in San Antonio, TX serving as the head of Infection Control for the Critical Care service line. She is an Association for Professionals in Infection Control & Epidemiology (APIC) Fellow and has served on the board of the San Antonio APIC Chapter.

She joined Xenex Disinfection Services in 2012 and functions as the Senior Director of Science. Sarah assists customers with data analysis and publication, conducts testing and evaluation of new UV technologies and best practices for implementing UV disinfection as well as overseeing the Science Department.

Sarah’s passion lies in the research and validation of solutions that will reduce risk, improve quality of care and provide healthcare staff with improved infection prevention programs.
